The Resource Access Roads (formerly Forest Access Roads) layer is created and maintained by the Newfoundland and Labrador Department of Fisheries, Forestry and Agriculture (FFA), Forest Engineering and Industry Services.

Up-to-date information can be obtained from the FFA Geohub or from the contact information below. Users are cautioned that the Geoscience Atlas depicts these data for illustrative purposes only

Access Definitions (see layer documentation from FFA)

• Open = road is easily accessible by 2WD vehicles
• Limited = road is rough and/or slightly grown in (likely need 4x4)
• ATV = road only accessible by ATV
• Not Passable = road is not passable (grown in and/or road condition)
• Unknown = unknown road access
• T'Railway' = ATV/Snowmobile permitted; Need permit from Provincial Parks for passenger vehicles
